Né d’un père antillais et d’une maman originaire de Vesoul, Romain Magellan aurait pu passer totalement à côté du rugby. C’était sans compter sur un ami de la famille, dingue de ce jeu, qui persuada ses parents de le mettre avec succès au ballon ovale.
Quarante ans plus tard, Romain vit toujours sa passion à fond. L’ancien pilier de Grenoble, Bourgoin et des Saracens de Londres, est consultant pour Eventeam, Canal et Midi Olympique. L’adolescent timide qui se cherchait est devenu après une carrière sportive bien remplie, un show-man à l'imposante carrure. Ce qui ne l'empêche pas d'être drôle et sensible à la fois.
