Vimos que a comunicação entre Teresa e Simão foi restabelecida graças a João e à mendiga, que volta à cena. Mariana melhorou da doideira e volta a ficar “presa” junto com Simão, sendo sua empregada. Sim, porque ela passa o dia na cela junto, como se estivesse cumprindo pena.
