The trial of Dr. I revolved around a fatal car crash that occurred in 2011. Dr. I, a dentist from Ontario, was charged with impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death after colliding head-on with another vehicle. After a lengthy trial, Dr. I was found guilty of impaired and dangerous driving causing death and was sentenced to five years in prison. The case attracted significant public attention due to the involvement of a medical professional and the legal debates over impaired driving laws in Canada.
