 Oltre ad avere un nome proprio e a prestare il nome ad altre distanze, la maratona ha la caratteristica di regalare un’identità anche a coloro che la corrono e arrivano a tagliare il traguardo: i maratoneti. Diventare un maratoneta, essere un maratoneta, conferisce all’individuo un’identità che, in alcune circostanze, può prendere il sopravvento su quella, dai confini più frammentati, dell’essere “semplicemente” un runner. Un maratoneta è un’altra cosa, sembrerebbero dire le persone. Già, ma cosa esattamente?
