About this listen

287 West is a sacred weekly podcast where mother and daughter—Beck, 48, and Olivia, 21—explore faith, family, and feminine transformation. Rooted in Biblical wisdom and alchemical truth, it’s a soul-led space for women ages 20–50 to remember who they are and chart an intentional path forward. At its heart is the belief that the Mind is the “one thing” of ancient alchemy—where thought shapes reality and Spirit leads the way.Beck and Liv Spirituality

  • Standing at the Threshold | 287 West
    Feb 5 2026

As this season of 287 West comes to a pause, I'm honoring what feels most honest to name.

Imbolc has just passes - a time associated with planting new seeds. But planting requires space. Something must first be allowed to rest. Sometimes to end. Sometimes simply to go quiet.

After a meaningful but emotionally demanding stretch of creating, I'm choosing to step back for the month of February. Not as an absence, but as part of the work - a clearing, a softening, a preparation.

This reflection marks a threshold moment. We'll meet again when the ground is ready.

  • Ep 18 How Does That Feel? | 287 West
    Jan 29 2026

In this conversation, Beck and Liv talk honestly about something that often gets confused: comfort and peace are not the same thing.

    Comfort keeps things familiar.

    Peace comes from alignment.

And when you’re committed to growth, peace will often feel uncomfortable at first.

This episode is a real, unscripted conversation about emotional awareness, choice, and responsibility—how even insight and intelligence don’t shield us from choosing comfort, and how growth requires the courage to sit in uncertainty.

We also touch on parenting, shared humanity, and the truth that none of us escape life without impact. Homes aren’t perfect. Parents aren’t perfect. And neither are we. But honesty, humor, and repair matter.

There’s laughter, there’s truth, and yes—there’s strong language, used in context and in love.

    If you’ve ever wrestled with:

    • staying comfortable vs. choosing peace

    • trusting emotions without being ruled by them

    • growth that doesn’t feel good yet feels right

    • or the weight of responsibility without shame

    —you’re not alone.

This episode isn’t about having the answers.

It’s about learning how to listen—more deeply and more honestly.

  • Ep 17 You're Allowed to Be Here | 287 West
    Jan 22 2026

There’s a moment that comes after you leave what was wrong for you.

After you step off the train.

    After the game board clears.

    After the pressure finally lifts.

And often, what follows isn’t clarity — it’s a mix. Relief. Grief. Emptiness. Stillness. Sometimes all at once.

In this solo reflection, Beck sits with that in-between space — the quiet after a hard decision, the pause after survival, the unfamiliar calm that can feel disorienting when you’ve lived a long time under urgency.

This episode isn’t here to move you forward or tell you what’s next.

It’s here to remind you that you don’t need to rush.

You don’t need to explain your pause.

And you don’t need to have it all figured out yet.

If you’ve recently left a relationship, environment, role, or version of yourself — or if you simply find yourself standing in a quieter place than you’re used to — this episode is an invitation to rest, breathe, and remember:

    You’re allowed to be here.

    Listener Invitation:

If you feel led, take a moment after listening to write down one word that describes where you are today - not where you think you should be. Let that be enough.
