Vivimos en una época donde existir parece sinónimo de mostrarse. Si no estás ahí fuera, produciendo presencia, algo parece ir mal. Y ese juicio lo aplicamos a todo: al trabajo, al amor… y a los hombres.
El retiro no se lee como elección, sino como pérdida de valor. Por eso incomoda tanto. Hay personas que se fueron sin dar explicaciones, sin reinventarse en público, sin pedir comprensión… y aun así construyeron algo más sólido que la fama: control. Nos molesta aceptar que alguien pueda estar bien sin demostrárnoslo.
Hemos aprendido a confundir intensidad con interés, el silencio inquieta porque no es interpretable.
No es aislarse, es elegir. La caída es visible. El retiro no. Y quizá al final del día por eso lo juzgamos tanto.
