About this listen
At the age of nine, Laura was diagnosed with an eye disease and faced the difficult reality that she would become blind. She has since authored the memoir Harnessing Courage and founded Ubi Global, an organization that provides speaking and coaching to empower all people to overcome challenges and obstacles with grit and gratitude. She’s also, in the opinion of this host, a true mensch*.
(*Note: A mensch is “a woman who embodies traits of integrity, kindness, decency, and compassion.”)
