About this listen

Whats up guy’s!!! It's Nate coming at you with another episode and this week I am joined by Master Cymbal Smith and owner of NickyMoon Custom Cymbals, Nicky Moon.

Nick was such a wonderful person to talk to and brought such a unique persecutive that we don’t always get to hear, the perspective of a Cymbal Smith.

We started off by talking about how we will be meeting in person at the first ever Music City Drum Show in Nashville, how a day looks like for him, his amazing trip that ties right into his background and his Five features that create a great sounding cymbal.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Also, here is the episode Nick did with Bart on the Drum History Podcast about Debunking Cymbal Myths that we talked on the podcast. It’s a great listen!!

Nicky’s 5 features that create a great sounding cymbal:

1. Quality raw material

2. Good shape / profile

3. 2 T's - tension & taper

4. Creative vision

5. Craftsmanship

We really hope you enjoyed our chat and found some great nuggets that gets your mind digging for more about cymbals. Remember, the best thing you can do after listening to this is apply it by TAKING ACTION!!
