Let us make man in our image. - Genesis 1:26

If we are made in the image of God, and God is eternal, then so are we. The false belief that says people who die without knowing Jesus merely cease to exist after death is called Annihilationism.

This annihilationism teaching is unbiblical. It underestimates the seriousness of sin, belittles the work of the cross, and lessens the supreme holiness of God.

The new year is the perfect time for new beginnings. But before we can move forward with God, we must obey this verse in Philippians 3:13-14:

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

If you are under condemnation, depressed and discouraged about past sin, it’s like saying, “the blood of Jesus isn’t enough to give me a fresh start.”
