 In a quaint town out West, 11-year-old Pollyanna faces unimaginable loss as she tragically loses both her mother and father to illness. Sent to live with her aunt in the far East, Pollyanna discovers that her new guardian is not eager to have her. Reluctantly taken in out of a sense of obligation, Aunt Polly confines her to a cramped, sweltering attic room, hoping to keep her out of sight. But what Aunt Polly doesnt realize is that Pollyanna carries with her the joyful game of being glad, a lesson from her father.
