Een circulaire schoen op de markt brengen is al moeilijk genoeg, laat staan een speciale veiligheidsschoen die aan een waslijst criteria moet voldoen. We stellen de vraag aan twee koplopers in Nederland: Iris van Wanrooij van EMMA Safety Footwear en Jan Arts van Allshoes Safety Footwear. Samen riepen zij de Circular Footwear Alliance in het leven om hun krachten te bundelen met leveranciers, producenten en verdelers om een circulaire veiligheidsschoen te creëren. Dat is nodig als je bedenkt dat elke schoen zo’n 300 stappen doorloopt.
