「チリ共和国」

南米大陸の南西部に位置し、南北約4,300kmにわたって細長く伸びる世界一細長い国です。
西は太平洋、東はアルゼンチン、北はペルーとボリビアに接しています。
人口は約1,976万人、
首都はアンデス山脈に囲まれた都市サンティアゴです。
北部には世界で最も乾燥したアタカマ砂漠があり、
南部には氷河やフィヨルドが美しいパタゴニア地方が広がります。
中部は温暖で、ワインづくりが盛んな地域です。
