About this listen
This is the 2nd and final part of the conversation about ways of improving the quality of data tracked by web analytics tools. The methods that I discuss are:
1. Knowing what data you are looking at - whether it is unsampled, sampled or AI generated (i.e. behavioural modelling in Google Analytics)
2. Turning off consent / no-cookies mode
3. Cross-tracking
4. Tracking clicks with the middle mouse button
5. Not tracking pageviews of pages that are not viewed
6. Not tracking page scrolls in the first 3 seconds after page load
7. Not tracking form submissions in the first 2 seconds after page load
8. identifying and preventing multi-tracking of single time actions:
- page views after refreshes
- multi-clicks
9. Not tracking internal traffic (here I mention my WordPress plugin for marketers - WP Full Picture)
10. Not tracking payment gateways
