1876 fanden die ersten Bayreuther Festspiele statt. Nicht nur die Festspiele selbst und die Stadt Bayreuth rüsten sich für diesen besonderen Geburtstag, auch Wagner on air möchte dieses Ereignis natürlich in gebührender Art und Weise würdigen. Im Laufe dieses Jahres werden wir daher eine Reihe von Gästen begrüßen, die ihren Platz im "Getriebe" der Festspiele haben oder hatten. Den Auftakt macht Bayreuths Oberbürgermeister Thomas Ebersberger.
