About this listen
Lizzie runs the Equestrian Leadership Consultancy which works with equestrian businesses to improve the skills of equestrian business owners and employers to ensure those who work within the industry feel supported and valued. Lizzie believes that effective people management is the key to the success of any business, and in particular, the equestrian industry is at a critical juncture with several issues coming to a head.
Conversations around leadership underpin the debates which are ongoing regarding social license and the economic viability of equestrian businesses, as successful leadership will not only make or break a business, but also plays an essential role in ensuring welfare standards are advocated for of both the horses and humans involved.
In this episode, we explore how Lizzie works with equestrian leaders, the importance of this in the current climate, and the vision for the future of equestrian businesses overall.
_______
www.equk.org is an education marketing platform which helps providers of equestrian qualifications advertise to a diverse audience in the UK and globally whilst reinvesting this into initiatives which supports access to equestrianism in groups currently under-represented within the sector. It does real, practical hands on work directing learners to the best course for them, supporting current staff to take the next steps in their career, and helps employers attract and retain employees.
EQUK provides an impartial support service either online or through delivery of in person workshops to support equestrian learners to find their future path or new ways to use their equestrian skills.
In this episode, I discuss the space that EQUK occupies online, the benefits to equine providers (everyone offering equestrian courses that were in Clearing this year, I am looking at you!), and more importantly, why and how EQUK fits into wider conversations around social licensing and accessibility within the sector in the current climate.
