پولوس رسول یہودیوں اور مسیحیوں دونوں کو جو ایک جیسا ایمان رکھتے تھے ملامت کرتا ہے۔ رومیوں۲:۱،پولوس کہتاہے، ” اے الزام لگانے والے تو کوئی کیوں نہ ہو۔ “ اُن کو ملامت کرتا ہے جو یہودی یا مسیحی ہونےپر برتری کے احساس سے معمور ہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ جو خدا پر ایمان لانے کے بعد بھی نئے سرے سے پیدا نہیں ہوئے، وہ جانتے ہیں کہ دلوں کے ختنہ کی شریعت کے باعث وہ غلط ہیں۔ یہی سبب ہے کہ وہ دوسروں کو بتاتے ہیں کہ چوری نہ کرنا۔ مگر، وہ خود زنا کار ہیں اور خداوند کے کلام پر عمل نہیں کرتے ،پھر بھی دوسروں کو خدا کے کلام سے راہنمائی دے کر اپنے آپ کو خدا کے ایماندار بندوں میں شمار کرتے ہیں۔ یہ یہودیوں اور مسیحیوں کے درمیان ایسے لوگ ہیں جو نئے سرے سے پیدا نہیں ہوئے۔
