 Welcome to the first episode of the Greenpoint Art Circle Podcast! In this episode, hosts Natasha and Chelsea interview Nadya Gomez, founder and director of the Greenpoint Art Circle. We discuss the origins of Greenpoint Art Circle, what themes Nadya pursues in her artwork and discuss some recent work in detail. Greenpoint Art Circle is a cooperative for and by NYC visual creators of all levels and disciplines who are interested in growing their creative practices and connections to other artists. We serve as an antidote to elitism in creative cultures and work to support one another’s authentic growth as creators and as people. We meet at monthly check-in meetings to foster accountability and connect through our social events that are open to all. Our co-op members participate in our shows, collaborate with us on projects and volunteer their time to keep everything sustainable.
