اسلام کو تین پہلوؤں میں تقسیم کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ پہلا تقدیر اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے انتخاب پر صبر کرنا ہے۔ دوسرا اللہ سبحانہ وتعالیٰ کے احکامات کو اعمال صالحہ کی صورت میں پورا کرنا ہے اور آخری پہلو اللہ تعالیٰ کی ممانعتوں سے پرہیز کرنا ہے جن کی تعریف گناہوں سے ہوتی ہے۔
اس لحاظ سے گناہوں سے پرہیز کرنا اسلام کا ایک تہائی حصہ ہے اس لیے ضروری ہے کہ مسلمان کبیرہ گناہوں کی مختلف اقسام اور ان کے نتائج کو سمجھیں تب ہی وہ ان کے ارتکاب سے پرہیز کر سکیں گے اور اس کے بجائے نیک کردار حاصل کر سکیں گے۔
