Luis Felipe Casadiego era un hombre temido por todo el corregimiento de Aguaclara, Cúcuta. Su mal proceder lo llevó a ser capturado por las autoridades el mismo día que su primer hijo cumplió un año de nacido. A partir de entonces, la rudeza con la que enfrentaba la vida empezó a ablandarse. La realidad penitenciaria lo golpeó de una forma tan cruel que sintió la necesidad, por primera vez en su vida, de entregarse de manera sincera a la voluntad de Dios. Cuando salió de la cárcel era irreconocible; la humildad y mansedumbre que irradiaba solo podía ser producto de un evento sobrenatural.
