第４０回目のテーマは「正客の心構え」
お茶席に行くのは敷居が高いと思う理由の一つに、お茶の知識があると思います。
息子(隆志)もお茶を習っていますが、お茶碗やなつめの作者や掛け軸の文字、お花の種類など、お茶独特の表現方法や知識が必要で、何度聞いても覚えられません。
それを解消するためではありませんが、お茶会のお客様の中に「正客」という役割をする方がいます。
お茶席の一番上座に座る方のことで、亭主とのやり取りをしたり、席が終わった後他のお客様からの質問に答えたりする、通常はお客様の中でも一番知識や経験が豊富な方です。
少し前になりますが番組公式のXに、亭主との関係で正客になってしまうことがあるが、その際に気をつけることがあるか？という質問をいただきました。
今回はその質問に答えながら、正客のことやいいお茶席にするためのコツをお聞きしました。
お茶席はみんなで作り上げるものだという言葉が心に残っています。
今日も一緒に日本人の心について学びましょう。
