Debido al mismo ímpetu de la gente, la familia pastoral muchas veces es antepuesta a cualquier miembro de la iglesia. Tal pareciera que son intocables e inalcanzables, pero esa apariencia no viene sola, deben cumplir ciertos estándares como la realeza de un país, para recibir aprobación de la gente. Un ejemplo reciente es el príncipe Harry y Meghan cuyas historias nos relatan lo difícil que fue su matrimonio cuando estaban bajo la corona real de Inglaterra. Ahora, trasladamos este ejemplo a la familia pastoral. A la Iglesia en general a veces le cuesta asimilar que los HDP son comunes y normales como cualquier persona y que no están obligados a casarse con parejas que ni siquera conocen como amigos o amigas.
