El hacinamiento, las consecuencias psicológicas del encierro y el ambiente de peligro constante que se respira entre los muros hace que los privados de la libertad vivan una realidad que, lejos de resocializarlos, les deja traumas psicológicos e incentiva que continúen delinquiendo. Sin embargo, exreclusos y pastores de la IPUC testifican que en el desarrollo espiritual se vislumbra una verdadera oportunidad de resocialización.
