About this listen

🎙️In this Episode: Why You Keep Going Back to Hustle Culture (Even When You Know Better)

In this episode of Creatives Do Business Well, we continue the ‘ Go With the Flow. Then Get To Business Series’ and talk about the Root Chakra. I talk about why so many creative entrepreneurs find themselves trapped in hustle culture despite knowing it's not sustainable.

I share my personal journey of retiring the "queen of hustle" title and explain how our Root Chakra (the energy center responsible for safety, security, and survival) drives these patterns and keeps us stuck in unhealthy work cycles.

I discuss how generational patterns, systemic challenges, and survival responses in our bodies create a powerful pull back to overworking, even when we intellectually know better. This episode offers understanding of why hustle culture is so hard to escape, particularly for Black women and those from marginalized communities who've had to work twice as hard for half as much.
