 In a bid to address their frustrations with their husbands and the inequalities faced by women, the members of the Wives Welfare Club come together for a candid meeting. Fueled by their grievances, they decide to take a bold stand and go on Strike, with Jane Spink chosen to lead the charge. Newlywed Betty Albright, who sings her husbands praises, initially finds humor in the other wives complaints.
