台中，有一個流傳了三十多年的都市流言：我們，差一點就有迪士尼。
這一集《中城流言》，我們邀請在台中生活 33 年的資深媒體人翠瑩，從一句「台中以前差點有迪士尼」聊起，慢慢拆解后里月眉糖廠、華納影城、BOT 開發案，直到今天的麗寶樂園。聽起來像八卦，但越聽越發現，這其實是一段關於台中如何錯過、如何轉彎、又如何習慣的城市史。
如果當年真的有國際級影城進駐，台中的城市氣質會不會完全不一樣？又或者，正因為一次次「本來可以，但後來沒有」，才養成了今天這座城市的性格？
翠瑩用媒體人的考據，補上流言背後的制度、政策與年代背景；也用一個長住台中的外來者視角，說出台中人最熟悉、卻很少說出口的那種心情—對宏大願景不再抱太高期待，對替代方案反而很快接受，於是迪士尼沒來，也沒關係；會展中心沒蓋，變成公園，好像也不錯。
從黑板樹為什麼會成為台中街景的主角，到「有坑就會變公園」的神秘定律，這一集談的不是單一建設成敗，而是一種城市慣性：台中怎麼面對失落、怎麼把爛尾收拾成日常，怎麼在一次次沒實現的藍圖中，活出自己的節奏。
