長崎県佐世保市吉井町にあるポットホール公園には、佐々川の自然を生かして整備された全長500mの遊歩道沿いに、640個以上のポットホール（甌穴［おうけつ］）群が見られます。
この公園には、むかし、河川プールとして利用されたと考えられる自然のプールがあります。このプールでの流水のせせらぎを録音しました。
