मराठी भाषचं भविष्य वैगरे अश्या मोठं मोठ्या विषयांवर आपण भाष्य करणार नाही आहे, पण रोजच्या बोली भाषेत सोप्या शब्दांसाठीही आजकाल इंग्रजी शब्द वापरले जातात, त्याचा काय परिणाम होतो ह्याचं एक उदाहरण पाहूया. आता पहा लाल भोपळा किंव्हा ज्याला आमच्या विदर्भात डांगर म्हणतात त्याचं नाव आलं की डोळ्यासमोर कशी रस्सेदार चमचमीत भाजी येते तेच त्याला pumpkin म्हंटलं तर कदाचित pumpkin pie वगैरे पदार्थ डोळ्यासमोर येतील. अजून काही उदाहरणं घायची झाली तर बघा 'रणांगण' की battlefield काय आवडतं आहे? हम्मा की cow ? लवकर लवकर जेव - की finish your lunch fast ; प्रभू श्रीरामचंद्र की lord rama ; आई की mummy अशे कितीतरी रोजच्या वापरातले शब्द आहेत जे आपण विसरत चाललो आहे, तुम्हीच आठवून बघा.. मुद्दा एवढाच आहे की भाषा आणि संस्कृती ह्याचा खूप जवळचा संबंध आहे.. आणि म्हणूनच विस्मरणात चाललेले काही शब्द आणि त्याच्या बद्दलच्या गप्पा करायला येत आहोत आपल्या पॉडकास्ट मध्ये..
