اگر خُدا ہم میں سے صِرف چند ایک کو چنتا ہے ، ہم بچ نہیں سکتے بلکہ اِس سوال سے روحانی اَذّیت اُٹھائیں گے ، ’’کیا میں نجات کے لئے چنا گیا تھا ؟ ‘‘ اگر ہم چنے نہیں گئے تھے ، ہمارے لئے یسوعؔ پر ایمان رکھنا بے فائدہ ہوگا۔ اِس طرح یہ نظریہ بہت سارے لوگوں کو زیادہ پریشان کر چکا ہے آیا وہ خُدا کی معرفت بذات ِ خود ایمان کی بجائے چنے گئے تھے ۔
