بدشت، ییلاق اشراف، دهکده‌ای کوچک و زیبا با انواع میوه‌ها و اینک در میان باغ‌هایش هشتاد و یک تن از اصحاب حضرت باب که میان‌شان برخی از اشخاص برجسته هم‌چون میرزاحسینعلی نوری، میرزا محمدعلی بارفروشی و قره‌العین حضور داشتند اسکان داده شده بودند، در آن ایام هم‌چنان حضرت باب در قلعه چهریق، اسیر زندان غافلان عصر بودند. هنوز قائمیت حضرت باب اعلان نشده بود. میرزاحسینعلی نوری هر روز لوحی به میرزا سلیمان نوری می‌دادند که در جمع پیروان و مومنین بخواند، هر یک از اصحاب حاضر در بدشت به نام تازه‌ای موسوم شدند از جمله خودشان بهاءالله و آخرین حروف حی میرزا محمدعلی بارفروشی به نام قدوس و قره‌العین به طاهره مشهور گشتند.
