現在、日本の介護職員の数は約150万人。団塊世代が一斉に75歳以上となる2025年には、介護保険の利用者数は現在の約1.5倍にまで増え、そのときに必要とされる介護職員は237万～249万人と推計されている。人材確保が今以上に差し迫った状況になる。
