Über die Autorin selbst weiß man relativ wenig, da sie fast alle persönlichen Dokumente verbrannte. Die Briefe, die dennoch erhalten blieben, lassen darauf schließen, dass Johanna Spyri oft an Depressionen litt. Das Schreiben wurde für sie zum Ausweg aus persönlichen Krisen. Regie: Carola Preuss. Eva Christina Zeller wurde 1960 geboren und ist eine deutsche Lyrikerin, Autorin und Rundfunkjournalistin.
