Neun Jahre arbeitete F. Scott Fitzgerald an diesem Roman. Und als er 1934 endlich erschien, war ihm kein Erfolg vergönnt. Fitzgerald schrieb den Roman um und verpasste der neuen Version das Etikett "final version". Doch erst 1951 wurde die zweite Fassung postum veröffentlicht. Nun ist die Magie dieses Romans endlich auch im Hörbuch zu entdecken.
