Great YA fantasy series

This series is really clever and well written. The first book leaves you on a cliff hanger, after the second book I thought so much had happened and the story was wrapped up so well that I couldn't tell how there could be another book, but this book doesn't feel like it was chucked on the back, it's very good and exciting.
