Publisher's Summary

This edition is available only to listeners residing in Australia or New Zealand.

When the Cullens, including her beloved Edward, leave Forks rather than risk revealing that they are vampires, it is almost too much for 18-year-old Bella to bear. But she finds solace in her friend Jacob, until he is drawn into a "cult" and changes in terrible ways.

Please, please use another narrator

This is horrible to listen to. Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite books but the narration is utterly atrocious. I could not continue listening to it once I realised the narrator sounds like the 'your call could not be connected' voice and any male voices sound like she's badly imitating a cartoon cowboy. Please do this book justice and rerecord!!!

The reader pronounces things incorrectly

Great book and lovely to fall asleep to but Ilyana pronounces things incorrectly. In particular she says “jay-cup” not “Jacob”. That gets awfully frustrating.

beautifully written and read

If reading this book, i would say it is "un-put-downable".
Iliana, the narrator, was amazing to listen to! The difference in voices whenever a character speaks just makes listening even more enjoyable.

Narration is not great

It’s Twilight, we all know the writing’s not the best but somehow so many of us happily overlook that and enjoy the books nonetheless. If you’re looking to read this and you’ve already read the first then you know what you’re in for, the writing is just as inconsistent and the story is slow (I’m still giving it 4 stars though and I don’t even know why. I like it somehow even though I can clearly see all that’s wrong with it).

Though definitely recommend sampling before buying to make sure you can tolerate the narrator. She’s a bit hard to listen to, could be personal preference though.

Love the story hated the narration

She impersonations the accent all of the narration was so hard to listen to. Love the story but if I could give the narrator - stars I would. Wish they hadn’t kept her for the next books as well… :(

Classic story but don’t love the pronounciation

I love the twilight saga and re-reading as an adult give a very different perspective. I struggle with the narrators tone of voice not matching some of the ways the author describes the characters tone. Like making Billy sound rude or mean when replying to Bella in some section the author says he is calm and speaking simply. I also hate the way she pronounces some of the names like Bella is said like Bell-ar and Jacob like Jay-cyb. Overall though i throughly enjoyed the book and the nostalgia.
