Publisher's Summary

When Feyre kills a wolf, a beastlike creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a magical land, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it....

Didn't quite live up to the others

I loved the other 3 books in this series but was a bit let down with this "fill in waiting for the real story" to come out next book. Didn't quite have the impact and excitement of the others. Still waiting on answers hopefully the next book will give.

A court of frost and starlight

I did enjoy this little re-entry into Velaris, and of course the wonderful characters.
I think I was just hoping for a little more, but super excited to jump into the next book and see where that takes us.
Overall well written book, lots of moments of giggling and smiling to myself while reading this.

Why the hate?

I dont understand the hate on this book. It seems a good follow-up to the previous book and allows the characters a much needed reprieve from the drama. I liked it.

Perfect

Read a lot of reviews which did not speak fondly of this short book. I think it was perfect. A perfect book between the last and the next.

A fantastic in between

I have read a lot of people write “it’s not like the other books”, well… yeah it’s an in between novella? I think it’s a great in between and a fantastic intro into the books changing from mainly Feyre’s POV to others’. Sets you up with background details and emotions for the next book in the series.

I really hope this is scene setting..

I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting with only 5hrs of audio.. but maybe more than what I just read. I truly hope it’s scene setting for the next instalment. It feels like they’re bits and pieces the author wanted to get out but didn’t know how to?

Where’s the rest?

A very short story that doesn’t really go anywhere. Just kind of a happy ending for the previous book and sort of sets up the next book about Nesta

Disappointed

For such amazing books prior - I was really disappointed. It just felt rushed and like it was written to fuel the fan frenzy and make money. Obsessed with this author but this was not it. At all.

A go between book

I liked this book it gave a further insight into the main characters lives. I do feel though that it is a bit of a go between Feyre’s story & merging to the next stage of what is to come. The blurb described on here is wrong it just describes book 1.
I did feel the other books were like the movies though and this was just a series episode when it comes to content & story.
Looking forward to listening to the next.
