Accessible, practical and fun!

As a counsellor/therapist, person with a lived experience of anxiety and depression, and long time fan of Dan, I truly appreciate and love this book! I bought the audio after buying the hard copy because Dan's reading of it really makes it accessible and memorable. Thank you for this!

Amazing but please update with chapter titles!!

The chapters of the audiobook need titles not numbers, especially as it's a self-help book designed to be picked up both in the moment of turmoil and later reflectively. This inaccessibility undermines the premise of the book as it's not intended to be read chronically making the numbers redundant. Having to click on all the chapters blindly to find the parts you need isn't pleasant. I fear some of the books usefulness will be lost in audio format!

i loved listening to this audiobook. the audiobook exclusive parts were great, the exercise parts guided me when i needed them. this book is a great start for understanding your mental health and working towards a healthier, happier life.

Exceeded expectations, a must-read for all!

I’ve been watching Dan for years and mostly bought this audiobook as a means of support but I’ve also eagerly been awaiting its release as I’ve recently been struggling with relationship anxiety and thought it might help me to understand and reframe my thoughts. I must say, this audiobook far surpassed my expectations. I’m very picky with audiobooks, but the way Dan reads this is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. In terms of content, it’s jam-packed with useful information and advice to help you understand why we think the way we think and in turn how we feel the way we feel. It also provides you with tips and tricks on how to manage and deal with the moments that are difficult to escape. I’d already heard of some of the techniques, but the fact that Dan has put all of this information into one, easy-to-read, practical guide is incredibly helpful. This is a must-read for all. Self care and looking after your mental well-being is a necessity, not a luxury.

As someone who is normally pretty resistant to self help media, I can say that I needed this. Genuinely helpful, empathetic but not condescending, with humour scattered throughout. I appreciated how the science behind the method was explained with just enough depth, but not too much as to make it dry. The format was also really useful.This helped me a lot. Thank you :)

Really lovely yet realistic mental health book

Aimed at a younger listener but I think it would also be handy for a parent of a teenager too, containing helpful activities it’s definitely a self help book for your everyday person i.e. it’s not telling you to do some yoga and live laugh love affirmations to magically change your life. The asmr chapter was...unexpected

Long awaited!

Loved it, with very well presented topics this is a great tool for a mental health journey! Heard it all in a day whilst working, using it to calm my pace and it was a wounderful experience!
