This audiobook was a lot of fun. X Marks the Stalker gives you a stalker MMC who is somehow sweet, sexy, and alarming all at once, paired with a reporter FMC who runs on adrenaline, snacks, and questionable choices.
The real star here was the duet narration. Maxine Mitchell and Anthony Palmini absolutely elevated the experience, bringing humour, chemistry, and personality to scenes that might not have landed as well on page alone. Their performances made the ridiculous moments even more entertaining.
The pacing of the narration runs slow at standard speed, but a bump up fixes that easily.
Story-wise, it could have used a serious trim. It runs longer than needed, and tightening the middle and final act would have made this much stronger. Still, the characters were fun, the spice delivered, and the audio made it an enjoyable listen.

Xander and Oakley have definitely met their match in each other and I love their dynamic from attraction with a healthy dose of caution, to complete lust and admiration… side note: this was hot!
This was so well written, I was completely drawn in to their world… and oh my! When the goons cross a line and Xander’s protective instincts are activated? Prepare for that world to explode! It was glorious!
This is morally grey madness with tragic backstories, corrupt systems, and a secret society of “professionals” serving vengeance on a silver platter. Suffice to say, I listened I loved and I will listen again while eagerly awaiting the next book…
