Publisher's Summary

My heart's about to get wrangled in Chad's wicked little game.

I left behind my countryside hometown of Spruce, Texas and my teenage tormentor Chad Landry to start over, pursue a career, and make a new name for myself.

Fast forward 10 years, and I'm back in Spruce for my high school reunion to confront my past and to face the boy who made my teen years hell. I'm no longer the vulnerable teenager I once was, and I'll guarantee you this: Chad won't have any power over me.

But all the mental preparation in the world couldn't possibly prepare me for the sight of the hot, gorgeous, and hunky rancher that Chad has become, nor the secret he's been waiting 10 long years to tell me.

Chad's got things to say. And I've got a score to settle.

Someone's poor little heart is about to get wrangled in a game it is sure to lose.

Contains mature themes.

Excellent Series!

Daryl Banner will bring you into the unique world of Spruce where there's hope for a better future. Each story builds somewhat on the last and I look forward to reading more of his work. The narrator also brings the characters to life in a way that is relatable and emotionally real. If you haven't read a gay romance series yet, start with this one! Two thumbs up!

homophobic and not ok

I wonder if matthew sheppard or jamel myles or nigel Shelby would feel this story gave an accurate description of how easy it is to just give in to your tormentor and bully, the person who made your life miserable, the person who held you down and suspended a loogey over your face, the person who tormented you specifically because your were gay, the person who made every day of your young life a horrible experience...…… I get it, this is supposed to be a romance and a feel good book, a bit of fluff that your not supposed to take seriously, but this is how you KNOW the book was written by a straight woman, anyone whos gay, and lived with the terror of being bullied and tortured and tormented, would be absolutely horrified and angry with how flippant and non serious the author takes this topic, theres no way, you would look on your worst nightmare as a love interest, and if that person did have a thing for someone they tormented and tortured, a simple im sorry and lets jump in my truck and get smashed, would NOT EVER be enough to make up for how they treated their victim, you may think this made a cute story but got the bullying thing ALLL sorts of wrong the MAIN conflict in this story should have been the tormentor trying to win the victim, and even then it should NOT be an easy road, do not EVER think that bullying is this easy to forget and forgive from the victims point of view, HOW dare you make such a flippant simple joke about bullying a gay teens.

uggggggghhhhhh 😡😔

I really had high expectations for this book, and the narrator did an excellent job, but I DNF at maybe 85%? I am so close to finishing but I just can't handle anymore of the MC; he is almost perfect and has "teaching" moments with everyone. The two MCs also have communication issues and seem almost unequal. Sadly, the way the story unfurled was just supremely unsatisfying for me and what I enjoy in a romance.

Good ‘ol Spruce, TX

It was nice to come back home again to Spruce with Wrangled. The author has done a wonderful job combining the characters from his previous Spruce books into this one. I only hope yet another installment includes the story of either Toby or Harrison next. Chris Chambers embodies Spruce! I did, however, miss the dual narration in this book like in the previous ones but did not take away from the sweet escape of theses two “meant to be” guys.

Yummy cowboy!

Another good read in Spruce, Texas! I have enjoyed all in this series. The characters make me laugh and bring a tear to my eye. A cowboy rancher and a designer, who comes back for a 10 year reunion. Both have made mistakes that need righting. Don’t miss this series!

Do yourself a favor and read the whole series

This writer is so good. I kept smiling throughout the book. The characters are great! Their characters are layered, but not perfect. The characters have their many sides, short comings, and lovability. This is the fourth book in this series. The series as a whole is really great. The first book and this one are my favorites, but again I love this series. I hope this author continues in this series, and other books!!!
