Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling Author, Vi Keeland, brings you the sexy story of Jax & Lily...

They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.

Daughter of legendary fighter "The Saint," Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she's no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That's why she's always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she's captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she'd come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn't something she'd planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

Another gem from Vi

I'm yet to read a book of Vi's that I haven't loved. This story flowed well and the characters were very likeable. This narration was great.

5+ stars for excellent writing and performance!

What did you love best about Worth Forgiving?

The characters are full, the story is developed. Sure there is steam, but you don't jump into it on page 1 without any connection with the character. I love that Jax is a gentleman--a handsome suit wearing man, yet a sexy dirty talker who knows what they both want in the bedroom.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Worth Forgiving?

The scene where he leaves and then runs back up to get her and says "oh f*&k it" and runs back up the stairs, I was smiling like an idiot and cheering him on. The sex scenes are so well written and performed too. And there is just the right amount of them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I could have listened to it twice.

Any additional comments?

Some books that have sex in them can feel like bad porn...but because you are so invested in the characters when it happens here, it makes you feel it and love it. Top 5 sexy scene writer for me.

JAX IS ALL AROUND PERFECTION!!

OMG, the best part about this story is definitely Jackson Knight (aka Jax)!! OMG, the man was glorious perfection. He was charming, educated, successful in his individually-owned business, had good manners (the ever-conscientious gentleman), but he was also a potent fighter. You get the picture, Jax had heart-palpitating appeal. So, it's no wonder how Lily St. Claire reacted when she first caught sight of him. That was one of my favorite parts....when "boys meets girl," or more accurately when "boy catches sight and can't keep his eyes off of girl, then she notices and falls all over herself"--LOL.

From the beginning Jax and Lily hit it off and their moments together were filled with special tension, the kind that made you want to rip-your-clothes-off-tension. Although Jax made no qualms about his pursuit of this beautiful girl he'd fallen for, Lilly is hesitant. Her reasoning was quite sound, as well. Lily is the co-owner of a growing franchise of specialized gyms and Jax got intertwined in the business aspect of her life through his company Knight Investments. Since he became a part of her business-related life, she refused to get involved romantically with Jax after a bad experience with another MMA fighter named Caden. Caden, her ex-boyfriend continues to make her life difficult since he still works for her and is stalker-like and super controlling.

Yet, some things are simply inevitable, as with Jax and Lily. These two are inseparable and their easy-going banter and friendliness turns into something more delicious, steamy and serious. I loved Jax and Lily together, they were cute, fun, romantic and hot! But, this story began to lose stars at the conflict part, and that's when the "stupid" came out of the heroine. I HATED how she dealt with the conflict within the relationship, as instigated by a person she should have known better than to trust. Anyhow, during that "stupid phase," I forwarded most of that part until we got to the good part; the reconciliation. Aside from Lily's stupid phase, this book was really good, and it was all because Jax was irresistible! The epilogue helped me forgive Lily a little bit. Oh, and I loved the part where Jax and his brother form a lasting, unbreakable bond. I suppose that was the only good that came out of the conflict in the book.

Overall a good read/listen. The narrator performed well.

Great writing!

What did you love best about Worth Forgiving?

Love the pace of the book..kept my attention..Great story line.

What other book might you compare Worth Forgiving to and why?

None that I've read lately..Lily was a strong character, not a damsel in distress, very refreshing.

What about Stephanie Rose’s performance did you like?

I like her delivery.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The epilogue..I liked that Jax & Vince really connected. That Jax could find one thing his father gave him that he loved was so poignant...oh & the pocket watch..I thought that maybe Lily would give to lil Jax on the first day on school. But Jax doing it said a lot about the man & father he was.

Any additional comments?

Will buy the next in the series.

Worth the Reading

I’ve read everything by Vi Keeland so now that I’m an Audible member it only makes sense to listen to everything again! obviously I love the book because I’m listening to it, after reading it a couple times already. My take on this review is to acknowledge Stephanie Rose & her outstanding narration! She sounded great, and did a great job with the different voices. A lot of women can’t pull off an alpha male, but I had no problem deciphering her different characters clearly and concisely, I can’t wait to check out more of this great narrator, hopefully attached to more of Vi’s books!

Cat and Mouse

Based on the thought wanting a gentleman/lady in public and a whore in the bedroom, Jax and Lily find themselves attracted to one another.

Lily is the daughter of legendary fighter "The Saint," when Jax Knight comes to her gym wanting to invest in her gyms. Both are smart individuals and very appreciative of the Arts.

Jax keeps secrets from Lily worried she may take things the wrong way if he tells her about the financial state of the gyms. When Lily finds out through her ex boyfriends manipulative ways, everything goes wrong.

I'm not a big MMA fan but I enjoyed the characters in this book and really empathized with the turmoil they went through. Stephanie Rose gave a wonderful personality to each character.

Needed a male narrator

Overall the story was great. Just wish that dual narrators had been used. Stephanie rose’s male voice was too weak to get a good masculine feel for Jackson.

Ok, it’s predictable but, I enjoyed it anyway!

Finally, a book by this author that is long enough to really enjoy her lovable characters.
I adored Jax, in the last book. He is the only guy, in this series, that wasn’t a man whore before the relationship with the Heroine. He has a strong moral compass and he no longer allows his father to push him around. He actually takes, “Fool me once, shame on you...” to heart. You gotta love a person that doesn’t repeat a mistake and expect a different result, like most of us do. Unfortunately, like all humans, he’s not perfect and there is angst developed in the book because he keeps a truth away from the Heroine, Lily, although his reasoning has the best intentions; good intentions or not, his lack of full disclosure loses him the girl. Don’t worry, he doesn’t make the same mistake a second time and the couple gets their HEA.

The Heroine, Lily, does not always learn from her mistakes. During a time of grief, she allows a man to manipulate her into an unhealthy relationship. She sees the light and breaks up with Mr. Wrong but, unfortunately, she continues to let him manipulate and control her life; from fear and constructed guilt. What was disappointing to me was the emotional weakness of the Heroine, particularly with the upbringing and type of father, Lily had. Lily and her father had an extremely close, healthy relationship and he was a fighter and taught her to be a fighter; she forgot his lessons.

As with most secrets, Jax’s duplicity is revealed and as with most controlling, mentality abusive men, her former boyfriend shows his true colors. The resolution of the issues shows the type of man Jax is and his determination to make things right, between them, finally affords them a HEA.
The length of this book allows Vi to create the best book in this trilogy and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. No matter what, don’t skip Jax and Lily’s story! 👍🏻👍🏻😀
