Publisher's Summary

In the final, apocalyptic chapter of this epic trilogy, the dragon-mage Krasus and the young druid Malfurion must risk everything to save Azeroth from utter destruction. Banding together the dwarves, tauren and furbolg races, the heroes hope to spark an alliance to stand against the might of the Burning Legion. For if the Demon Soul should fall into the Legion's hands, all hope for the world will be lost. This then, is the hour...where past and future collide!

Not fully canon - but fully Awesome.

My personal favourite of the 3 Books. I know that some of the canon is a little messed up. But the Characters and their story still feels true. I recommend you go to the book called Illidan after this. I have read it before but after this, I need to revisit it. Also Ramon de Ocampo is so good at this.

Of the three, this is my favorite

I love the first two books of the series, but the entire story and battles come to a head in this book, executed perfectly, written amazingly.

Amazing series, amazing book

Overall the book is amazing along with the series. The story is too notch. Only complain I have is, when he’s shifting from one perspective to another, he does not pause for long, he’s short with his pauses. Nonetheless, great reading

Illidan's poor treatment

over these three books i feel the author has changed the core story too much. He downplayed Illidan's and Tyrande's true contributions and magnified Malfurian's too much. He also changed to core characteristics of the characters. he never even mentioned the blades of assinoth nor the fact that Illidand slew more demons then anyone else which has always been core to the stories. he downplayed the effects of the other races especially the Tauren and didn't even mention the Wolf demi-god Goldrin/Logash who all prior stories agree was the most devastating of the demi-gods. This trilogy felt like an ode to Malfurion instead of an accounting of the war of the ancients.

great story, but a branding change

an amazing story for those who are interested in the lore of the Warcraft universe. one thing that struck me as odd was the needless change of the cover artwork. The books were original under the Warcraft name but now the title in the artwork says World of Warcraft. still a great listen.
