Publisher's Summary

THE AGE OF DRAGONS IS OVER.

Uncertainty plagues Azeroth’s ancient guardians as they struggle to find a new purpose. This dilemma has hit Kalecgos, youngest of the former Dragon Aspects, especially hard. Having lost his great powers, how can he - or any of his kind - still make a difference in the world?

The answer lies in the distant past, when savage beasts called proto-dragons ruled the skies. Through a mysterious artifact found near the heart of Northrend, Kalecgos witnesses this violent era and the shocking history of the original Aspects: Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malygos, Neltharion, and Nozdormu.

In their most primitive forms, the future protectors of Azeroth must stand united against Galakrond, a bloodthirsty creature that threatens the existence of their race. But did these mere proto-dragons face such a horrific adversary alone, or did an outside force help them? Were they given the strength they would become legendary for . . . or did they earn it with blood? Kalecgos’s discoveries will change everything he knows about the events that led to the...

Generally ok

Story was ok, the narrator has an intensely macabre voice which creates a grim and ghastly atmosphere.

This is a fantastic audiobook for any Warcraft fan, new comers to the series might have some trouble keeping track of characters, but overall this is still a great fantasy story.

One of the best!

one of my favourite Warcraft lore books! Richard A. Knaak's talent shines brightly! the story pulls you into an inception like journey through the mind of a great dragon seeing the story through the eyes of his predecessor. a deeply gripping story of dragons and titans yet told in such a human way it is amazing. I am looking forward to my 5th time through this book.

Terrible story, unless you have a vore fetish.

A clumsy senseless story catering solely to people with a vore and furry (dragons) fetish.

Intriguing And Insightful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book carries with it much depth, more so than the video game 'World Of Warcraft' provides. If you are looking for more knowledge on the lore and story of 'Warcraft' DEFINITELY give this a read!

What did you like best about this story?

This story provides to us a look at the very beginning of the wow universe. This is by far the best way of viewing how everything in 'World of Warcraft' came to be, and why it is, as it is in the game!

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have not.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The world.... it hungers for power.
