THE AGE OF DRAGONS IS OVER.

Uncertainty plagues Azeroth’s ancient guardians as they struggle to find a new purpose. This dilemma has hit Kalecgos, youngest of the former Dragon Aspects, especially hard. Having lost his great powers, how can he - or any of his kind - still make a difference in the world?

The answer lies in the distant past, when savage beasts called proto-dragons ruled the skies. Through a mysterious artifact found near the heart of Northrend, Kalecgos witnesses this violent era and the shocking history of the original Aspects: Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malygos, Neltharion, and Nozdormu.

In their most primitive forms, the future protectors of Azeroth must stand united against Galakrond, a bloodthirsty creature that threatens the existence of their race. But did these mere proto-dragons face such a horrific adversary alone, or did an outside force help them? Were they given the strength they would become legendary for . . . or did they earn it with blood? Kalecgos’s discoveries will change everything he knows about the events that led to the...

This is a fantastic audiobook for any Warcraft fan, new comers to the series might have some trouble keeping track of characters, but overall this is still a great fantasy story.

One of the best!

one of my favourite Warcraft lore books! Richard A. Knaak's talent shines brightly! the story pulls you into an inception like journey through the mind of a great dragon seeing the story through the eyes of his predecessor. a deeply gripping story of dragons and titans yet told in such a human way it is amazing. I am looking forward to my 5th time through this book.

Terrible story, unless you have a vore fetish.

A clumsy senseless story catering solely to people with a vore and furry (dragons) fetish.

Intriguing And Insightful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book carries with it much depth, more so than the video game 'World Of Warcraft' provides. If you are looking for more knowledge on the lore and story of 'Warcraft' DEFINITELY give this a read!

What did you like best about this story?

This story provides to us a look at the very beginning of the wow universe. This is by far the best way of viewing how everything in 'World of Warcraft' came to be, and why it is, as it is in the game!

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have not.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The world.... it hungers for power.

First Wow book I've heard

This story was utterly amazing. I've never even consider reading a WOW book but this was well worth it. In its own way it brings new light to the game and it was an amazing story that I really wish blizzard would reference more in the game. I wouldn't hesitate to relive this tale in the form of World of Warcraft. The readers voice was a little slow for my taste but at x1.20 speed it's perfect. I will definitely buy more of these books, would totally recommend this!

Good Lore on Dragons

This book was pretty good. I enjoyed Warcrimes more. If you like lore surrounding the aspects and dragonflights, this is the book for you. I found it a little boring at times. I was hoping for more involvement with the horde and alliance in the story. Great narrator though.

Good but not great book

honestly I'm a little disappointed because most of these Warcraft books or so spectacular but this one Falls a little short of that it's not a bad book but it's been so long time on an insignificant plot sort of all over the place and I don't know that it was worth 14 hours of my time. the narrator was fantastic but the story was underwhelming if you're into Warcraft I recommend reading it for the sake of the lore in the series aside from that it's kind of just whatever in my opinion

Great story and lore!

Would you listen to World of Warcraft again? Why?

Definitely. It is a world that I have come to love and enjoy and would always appreciate good books to put the world in a broader perspective.

What did you like best about this story?

The untold story of the five Aspects.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Kalec was about to witness the titans granting powers to the dragons.

Any additional comments?

The tone set by the reader is a bit cumbersome. I had trouble following along but I think he was in the right to have such a mellow tone. It set it up correctly, just was honestly putting me to sleep haha!

First world of Warcraft book (spoilers)

I'd like to open by saying I have played wow on and off for several years, although I have not delved to deeply into the lore I can say I have more than"most" players. With that said lets begin.

Ultimately this story only had a few interesting points, I found myself more interested in the prologue than anything. The just is man has not come to earth yet dragons are the supreme rulers. A much larger dragon begins to terrorize and eat the smaller ones (the aspects). In they end the larger dragon chokes and dies by choking on a large rock.

Jania proudmoore is slightly involved in this story although mostly felt shoehorned in for fan service.

In all if you want to know what the "father of dragons" was and the back story of the dragons before they were the defenders of the world pick it up. Otherwise id say there are more interesting Warcraft stories out there and maybe find another.

About magical worlds past & present legends, gods, heroes, ect. Their are only 3-4 verry similar voices, many characters have the same voice & it is hard to tell who is speaking :P Over all a worth while purchase.

My first Warcraft book did not disappoint

I'd heard bits and pieces of this book as my partner listened to it while cooking/cleaning etc. I finally got it for myself so I could hear the full story uninterrupted and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story is engaging and as a WoW player it helps me get more immersed in the world. Scott Brick has a great voice and I look forward to hearing it again as I move on to the other books in this series.

Loved it

Loved it! As an avid fan of WoW getting a different view of the lore is always a treat. It adds a dimension to the characters I know so well that I did not expect. Recommend highly.
