Story
For all of the West's failings—terrible food, cold weather and questionable politicians with funny hair to name a few—it has its upsides. Konstantin would know. Growing up in the Soviet Union, he experienced first-hand the horrors of a socialist paradise gone wrong, having lived in extreme poverty with little access to even the most basic of necessities. It wasn't until he moved to the UK that Kisin found himself thriving in an open and tolerant society, receiving countless opportunities he would never have had otherwise.

Story
Leading a cultural revolution driven by identity politics and so-called 'social justice', the new puritanism movement is best understood as a religion - one that makes grand claims to moral purity and tolerates no dissent. In The New Puritans, Andrew Doyle powerfully examines the underlying belief-systems of this ideology and how it has risen so rapidly to dominate all major political, cultural and corporate institutions. He reasons that, to move forward, we need to understand where these New Puritans came from and what they hope to achieve.

Story
Gender identity ideology is about more than Twitter storms and using the right pronouns. In just 10 years, laws, company policies, school and university curricula, sport, medical protocols, and the media have been reshaped to privilege self-declared gender identity over biological sex. People are being shamed and silenced for attempting to understand the consequences of redefining "man" and "woman". While compassion for transgender lives is well-intentioned, it is stifling much-needed inquiry into the significance of our bodies.

Story
In the wake of the dissolution of the Soviet empire in 1989, many believed that we had arrived at the ‘End of History’—that the global dominance of liberal democracy had been secured forever. Now, however, with Russia rattling its sabre on the borders of Europe and China rising to challenge the post-1945 world order, the liberal West faces major threats. These threats are not only external. Especially in the Anglosphere, the ‘decolonisation’ movement corrodes the West’s self-confidence by retelling the history of European and American colonial dominance.

Publisher's Summary
In Woke, Titania McGrath demonstrates how everybody can play their part in the pursuit of social justice. As a millennial icon on the forefront of online activism, Titania is uniquely placed to guide her listeners through the often bewildering array of terminology and concepts that constitute 21st-century 'wokeness'. These new ideas often leave the general public bemused, particularly if they don't read the Guardian.
Being woke is actually much easier than people think. As Titania demonstrates, anyone can be an activist. By simply adding a rainbow flag to your Facebook profile, or calling out an elderly person who doesn't understand what 'nonbinary' means, you can change the world for the better. Indeed, social media has now made it possible to show how virtuous you are without having to do anything at all.
Timely and indispensable, Titania's step-by-step guide will help you to become the woke person you need to be in an increasingly progressive world. In a non-patronising manner, Titania will explain why you are wrong about everything and how to become more like her.

****ing hilarious
Not much more to say, the book was hilarious and narrator played the character brilliantly. This'll be one of the rare books I read/listen to all the way through more than once.

Hilarious
Parody and reality have been indistinguishable for some time now and Titiana continues in that vein.
Alice Marshall is brilliant and utterly hilarious as Titania. Her reading of Titania's slam poetry is side-splittingly outrageous.

Simply magnificent
I would've missed out on so much if I had just read the book myself. Alice's performance is fantastic. Highly recommended! Listen to the book even if you've already read it, she takes the experience to a whole new level!

Incredible satire, indistiguisbale from real SJWs
Poe's Law is in full effect here. Titania McGrath interweaves real quotes from real social justice sympathetic journalists, activists and celebrities into her prose. The insanity of the media establishment is so profound that often one cannot tell the difference between an intentionally over-the-top satirical take on the Left's agenda written by McGrath, and some insane drivel plopped out by your garden variety Intersectional Basket-Weaving Anarcho-Communist journo.

Tremendously funny.
I couldn't listen in public or while driving, I was too prone to burst out laughing. Great book for those who are growing tired of the idiocy.
