I love the way Lee Child puts together his stories and they all different too. This one is about those who serve and protect others and the lengths they will go to to do that.

Excellent story of retribution; Reacher's brother has a role. The brotherly friendship is examined, along with plenty of well-choreographed fight scenes. Brilliant.

This was my 6th Jack Reacher book and Lee Child does not let you down. I have no idea how the secret service is run but I can imagine and what Lee has written is pretty much what I expected about it. A solid book with sufficient action to keep you interested in a book that delves into the inner workings of the secret service and their role in protecting the Vice President.

A lot of people give 5 stars for average quality books because they are fans or give 5 stars to everything. Some people give 1 stars for the same book because they don’t like it or are trolls. I have moved away from this love it or hate it system and give stars on merit.

My rating system works as follows
1 star - terrible, don’t bother.
2 stars - I struggled to read it, not good.
3 stars - A good book and an enjoyable read.
4 stars - Better than average, a very good book.
5 stars - an outstanding book, one of the best books I have ever read.

A solid Jack Reacher title

I read the first book in paperback and loved the thinking action hero. The logic the character uses shows the depth of research Lee Child has undertaken for Jack Reacher. The only problem I have is the realisation of just how much I'm going to spend on audio books, because I intend to hear the entire series.
