Publisher's Summary

Don't miss the thrilling fourth chapter of Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles series.

Princess Winter is admired for her grace, kindness and beauty, despite the scars on her face. She's said to be even more breath-taking than her stepmother, Queen Levana....

When Winter develops feelings for the handsome palace guard, Jacin, she fears the evil Queen will crush their romance before it has a chance to begin.

But there are stirrings against the Queen across the land. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder and her allies, Winter might even find the power to launch a revolution and win a war that's been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress and Winter claim their happily ever afters by defeating Levana once and for all?

Amazing

It was funny watching the hours decrease. 7 hours left... 5 hours left... how the hell is there 5 hours left? Two hours left... still two hours??? 10 minutes left (the interview at the end)... SATISFACTION... a great end to the story, plenty of time to slow down, drink enough to not be left hollow. So glad I started reading/listening this series.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all four

I have thoroughly enjoyed all four of the lunar chronical books, the story just kept getting better, I am pleased with the character development and the incorporation of the fairy tales. I hope there will be many more from marries meyers. Rebecca soler really brought the characters to life and it was great she read the whole series, characters become something unique and the change of a narrator can make it hard to continue relating to the characters. I would recommend this series to all.

A rare exhilarating, fulfilling and endearing experience

Quite literally the most comprehensive ending to a saga ever. Due to the beautifully long 800 pages every moment feels earned and logical. With no quick fixes this book fully lives up to the 3 book set up and doesn’t leave any character behind. The writing however is not the masterpiece of this book. It is the gorgeously planned plot and the sweetness and purity of the characters. It is true escapism fantasy that doesn’t pander to simple tropes. I cannot commend Meyer enough for creating a book experience so satisfying which left me feeling nothing other than full. The reread ability of this book is 2000% and it pleases me so much to read a fantasy book where the author has recognised the importance of comedy, heart but did not compromise the plot for these, but took the time to make both work symbiotically. (Which i think a lot of authors forget to do) x

Perfect Ending

This is the final book in the Lunar Chronicles. I loved the first three and I couldn't wait to see how the story ended. Picking up right where Cress ended Emporer Kai has been 'kidnapped' and Queen Levana is furious. Levana is one hell of a woman and I have never met anyone that evil. I mean that woman is evil to the bone. I don't think there is a part of her that is good. I really loved this book but I am struggling with where to go with this review. It's a long book and a lot happens. While this book is called Winter there is not as much focus on Winter as the other characters got in their books. This is a little disappointing but I think it was necessary in order to complete the story. I loved the alternative POVs in this story. I love how the characters' stories all become so intertwined. I love how they all have their roles and they are so integral to the plan. Each character has grown so much since the first book, Cinder especially. Melissa does an excellent job of finishing off everyone's stories. This was a perfect end to the series. I really loved it. Rebecca also did an excellent job on the narration. I love her voice and I would absolutely listen to more of her narrations.

Fabulously narrated!

Rebecca is now on my auto-listen list, she did a great job narrating these books and I can't imagine experiencing them without her amazing voices. Great twisty and turny plot with great characters and it just kept me wanting to read on (stupid sleep and work getting in the way!).

Great narration and super satisfying ending!

Unputdownable! Winter finishes off this Lunar Series in great style. Fairly predictable but oh so sayisfying! The fairytail references keep on popping up and I'm gonna miss these characters. I think there is a small untold story left to be written but I also think that it is in hand after listening to the interview at the end! I look forward to it...

Excellent story telling

This story is exciting and made more so by the way the story gradually unfolds. The battle part was the best. I felt like I was there. Each part of the battle was carefully described. Brilliant. I listened to the last 10 chapters in one evening. I am sad it has finished. I will miss the characters.

Soso

These books were OK and a great adaptation of the fairy tales. But these went on way to long for me personally.

Amazing

Amazing end to a great series! I loved the way that fairy tales were woven into a unique sci fi retelling.
