About this listen

"Elsie Silver's writing is a true revelation!" ALI HAZELWOOD

Small-town, big characters, four addictive love stories . . . meet the single dads of Rose Hill's recreational bowling team. Perfect for fans of steamy romance, Lucy Score, and Elsie's smash hit Chestnut Springs series.
____

She's been driving him wild for years . . . the good kind of wild.

The kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend's little sister and knowing you can't have her.

Forbes may have labeled Ford Grant the World's Hottest Billionaire, but all he cares about is escaping the press and opening a recording studio in gorgeous small town Rose Hill. Something that comes to a screeching halt when he ends up face-to-face with a young girl who claims he's her biological father. Now, he spends his days balancing business with parenting a sullen twelve-year-old, all while trying desperately to keep his hands the hell off his best friend's sister, Rosie Belmont.

After living in the city, Rosie came blasting back into town like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed, desperate plea for a job is all it takes for Ford to hire her. He vows to keep her at arm's length. Tries to stick to scowls and grumpy one-liners. But with her, verbal sparring is a type of foreplay―friction that soon turns to blistering heat.

Ford knows damn well he shouldn't cross this line. But shouldn't and can't are two very different things.

And the only thing he truly can't do is resist her.

Readers can't get enough of Wild Love . . .

Firstly the cover art is so nothing I wouldn’t have bought this if someone hasn’t recommended it.
As usual I really loved Zachary Webber's narration. He has an ability to voice the content with a range of expression and emotion with an underlying gentle loving tone.
Vanessa Edwin did a good job too so full marks for the narration.
I did have issues with the story though. I was enjoying it till after the half way mark somewhere. The main characters had a sort of hate banter since childhood, it was well explained that, for the guy, this had been a way of engaging with her when he had deep feelings for her. This wasn't his usual way.
When the main two declare their love though, the heroine continues this negative banter and makes continuous spiteful remarks to him. She was saying that was just 'their way'. However it was actually an outdated immature thing she chose to continue. I then started to get really irritated by her immaturity- which was implied to be her free character or something. She then disrespectively spills paint over his newly finished floor as some free expression too.
Later, then gets in her high horse and makes a big deal of him overdoing what she saw as immature actions when he was actually defending her... a gesture she had said she actually wanted. The proposal scene was also highly irritating.... ore of that immaturity.
There was good stuff in the story regarding the biological daughter he hadn't known about. A less immature ending might have involved adding their own child now he has enjoyed that one.
Not sure I'll be interested in the next in the series given my irritation.. but will continue to see what Zachary narrates.

Zachary Webbers narration elevates a story I had misgivings about.

a bit too corny for my tastes. funny though. I might have liked this book more if I'd read the text instead of listened to the audio book. the performances were a little too melodramatic for my tastes. I can see why this book is so popular though.

funny dialogue

I brought this on a whim and am so glad I did! I have discovered a new must read/listen author. Her stories are believable and characters draw you in. The performances were excellent and really work to bring you and make you invested in the story.

This is the first book in Elsie Silver's new series. It follows childhood friends Rosie and Ford. It's a bit of a different kind of single dad romance. No spoilers! Rosie is a great FMC so independent and strong. This is a great first book as it sets the scene for the series. Lots of characters are introduced and I can't wait to get the rest of the characters stories. Highly recommended. Plus Willa from the Chestnut Springs series makes an appearance as she is Ford's sister. I enjoyed the crossover.

Great new series
