Now, with a gang of people smugglers on his tail and the lives of Altair's family on the line, Gabe is drawn into a ruthless game of cat and mouse. His main opponent is Chase Hunter, a kangaroo hunter with bush skills as wily and sharp as his own.

Sensational!
All the characteristics of a great thriller, with a fantastic Australian outback twist. Thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Exciting Aussie Drama
I almost loved every minute of this book, there were only a few exceptions where the descriptions of people’s misfortunes were a little too gruesome for this sensitive girl but I was there. I was right there along side the characters barracking for the underdogs.
An unlikely bunch of people thrown together and managed to overcome some pretty terrible odds by using each other’s strengths.
This is what this country should be about, caring for everyone no matter birthplace or skin colour.

I could not put it down
Michael Trant may well be my new Aussie author. It’s one of those rare once in a while books that the characters speak to you. As an Aussie who has spent years in rural areas, I feel like you could meet any of these characters in the local pub. The book is just so beautifully Aussie. Thank you Michael for sharing your gift. Please keep writing between the gaming🤣

Wild dogs is a must read!!
Wow - I absolutely loved it! It wasn't what I was expecting at all but I couldn't put it down!
I know & love the Murchison & Gascoyne region of WA & feel Michael captured it beautifully throughout. Can't wait for your next book Michael Trant!

Great story
Well written, well narrated, great characters. Not the usual outback murder-mystery. Loved it! Highly recommended

A thrilling read, with ethical messages
This is an excellent story that kept my interest from start to finish. The author is a farmer and the setting is remote regional Australia, with characters that I found very believable. The best surprise was the sensitive and subtle way the author included the plight of First Nations people and refugees into the story. I can't wait for another audiobook from Michael Trant.

Bloody good yarn
Decent yarn, kept me engaged from start to finish. Don’t listen if you don’t like swearing but, cos there’s a ducking lot of it in here.
