Publisher's Summary

That moment your life changes. That moment that changes your life. That moment you love someone more than you love yourself. That was the moment we gave our son up for adoption and the moment I was left bare. A wide-open space that would forever be empty.

There are moments that define you as a person, moments that prove just how strong you are, moments you push yourself to keep going forward when all you really want to do is give up. It was in one of those moments when I reached out and found him waiting for me.

When Shelby Calder left home 15 years ago, she never planned on returning to the Alaskan town she left behind. But after the death of her grandfather and a bitter divorce, she hopes going home will be a fresh start for her and her 10-year-old son.

Zach Watters has made a lot of mistakes in his life. But when he sees Shelby Calder, looking more beautiful than ever, standing outside her childhood home, he promises himself that letting her go won't be a mistake he ever makes again.

Great Story with Great Narration!

I love a second chance romance. This is a great teen to adult love story. As teens Zach & Shelby face the hardest decision of their lives and come out of it pretty broken. That is what separates two young lovers. 15 years later they are back in each others lives and are adults, parents and divorced from their spouses. I really liked that they took something that destroyed them as teens and instead of using it as an attention seeking poor me situation, they both grew up and took responsibility for their lives and were better people because of that. They have a great love story. Oh and did I mention I love single dad's in my books ;) A single dad who knows how to be an adult when it comes to his ex and puts his kids first makes my heart flutter. Great story, great writing and Great narration.

Sweet second chance

I enjoyed this audiobook about a man and s woman with heartbreaking history who find themselves back within reach of love. It's complicated by exes and kids, but they are meant to be together. Excellent narration by two of the best!

It's meant to be!!!

"We were meant to be here, right now in this moment. We were meant to find each other again.”

A second chance story by the amazingly talented Aurora Rose Reynolds? Yes please!!! Ms. Reynolds's beautiful and addictive narrative absolutely hooked me from the beginning! Zach and Shelby are high school sweethearts and the circumstances that tore them apart broke my heart. When they meet again, their chemistry is electric and palpable!! I loved that despite their time apart and failed marriages, their love didn't diminish, and they came full circle in finding each other again. Zach was deliciously alpha and a DILF!! I loved everything about him especially his relationship with his kids, and I liked that this story had no OTT drama. It's a story about rekindling a lost love; it's about two families coming together and being one; it's about acceptance; and of course it's about that once in a lifetime love!!

Seeet.

This is such a sweet book. It’s a second chance story, it ticks all the boxes for me. It has a bitchy ex-wife, an angry ex-husband which makes the book entertaining. 3 sweet, loving children, a beautiful, sassy, fierce heroine and a sexy hero with a badge. Need I say more? Read the book, Zack and Shelby’s story is worth it.

Loved

I really enjoyed the book. I have to say that there was one part that got weird - just didn’t make sense. Toward the end when Ben and Rhonda and Austin and Lea we’re going out to dinner (putting together the crib), the writing got strange and didn’t make sense. It talked about how Austin and Ben bickered a lot and also had Austin and Lea come off as always fighting....and it just didn’t make sense based on what we know of them from previously book. Plus, it actually had them talking about themselves in the situation. Like Ben commented that Ben and Austin bicker a lot??? I had to listen to the part about 7 times to try to straighten out the story and it never got straightened out because I think it was just written poorly. Started to get a little slow around then, but was overall good.

Shooting Stars Series...Gold Star!

These titles were fantastic! Both storylines were so well developed and brought many characters in, that I doubt the series ends here. And I truly hope that it doesnt. This title does give the second chance romance storyline charm, but with more relatable circumstances to perhaps many readers. I personally found this to be more appealing. But don't think that means the yummy 🔥hotness didn't hit several times. That good stuff comes along in real life too! Between the children of these families having the typical age related behavior to be expected, to the ex's looking to stir up trouble at the drop of a hat....these two once teen lovers found each other again. The best part about it was, they hardly skipped a beat and realized they were just marking time in their lives....and now know everything happens for a reason.

1st This cover drew me in

Usually the first thing that gets me is the cover & this one did not disapoint. 2nd the narrators in which Maxine Mitchell is one of my all time favorites along with Joe Arden, you've got my full attention. Now we look into the story which truly peeked my interest. Aurora Rose Reynolds is a true story teller. The characters are all very interesting and the story, the story had me half in tears then to jumping up giving fist pumps in the air. Love, good sex, a bitch and a bastard.Excellent Excellent story all around. This book is well worth the purchase price. I can't wait to read "Fighting to Breath" by Aurora!!!
