I am familiar with Wineburg's work on Civic Online Reasoning and thought he might have something interesting to say on this topic, especially since I'm reading works by historians. Alas, I have wasted a couple of hours of my life listening to diatribes about the American school system and multiple choice tests. I abandoned the book without finishing it as it was irrelevant to me. The narration wasn't bad, but certainly didn't help.
