Publisher's Summary
Nine out of 10 churches in America are either declining or growing slower than the communities in which they are located. Stated simply, 90 percent of American churches are losing ground in their communities. Change is not an option; it is an urgent need. We don't change our doctrines and biblical foundations, but we do change our methodologies and approaches for this rapidly changing culture.
Based on the studies, consultations, and research of over 50,000 churches, best-selling author Thom S. Rainer shares how effective change has taken place in many churches. While it is not a formulaic approach, Who Moved My Pulpit? is a clear guide for church leaders who are not satisfied with the status quo and who yearn for their churches and ministries to make a kingdom difference. True transformational change in the church is possible.

Change Management for Churches
Don’t let the small size fool you. This is a very practical book admittedly taking the concepts of John Kotter and others and translating them for the church. You’ll find the discussion questions at the end of each chapter very helpful for applying the principles to your local setting.

A good resource in the topic.
Definitely glad I got to listen to this. I believe it is broad enough to give every pastor some guidance. For me, it left me wishing for more details on some of the info. However, it is not meant to be a detailed treatment of the subject of change in the church.

On spot practical insights for leading change.
I really appreciated this book for its practical, yet not a 12 steps for leading change. The principles are true. I recommend this book to new pastors or frustrated pastors/church leaders. Most change agent pastors will know this or have intuitively done this without knowing. There it is helpful to identify what helps change.
