One of the many engineers that keep Beta, the city under the sea, running, Mira only wants to make her family proud and to prove herself worthy.

She knows the mysterious city better than anyone and it's her dream to help it flourish. Then, on a solo job in an abandoned section of the city, she encounters a monster of legend: an undine, a dangerous merman from an ancient civilization, long forgotten.

I gave Whispers of the Deep 4 stars! I absolutely loved the character development — the growth and emotional depth really pulled me in. The voice actors on Audible did such an amazing job bringing the story to life; their performances made the world feel so vivid and real. I also couldn’t help but notice some fun similarities to the Ice Planet Barbarians series — that same mix of adventure, romance, and alien mystery that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Overall, a great listen!
